A little about the Founder: Matthew Jellison
Born/raised in South Bend, IN in 1973. He spent the first half of his life
there, graduating from James Whitcomb Riley High School in 1992. In
1996, he decided he needed a change, and moved to Tempe, AZ to attend
Arizona State University. He has remained in the Tempe/Scottsdale area
ever since. Now working in the real estate business, so that he can help
others to enjoy the freedom that owning a home gives you. Matthew has
also worked in the mortgage industry as a loan officer for several years, so
he brings that knowledge and experience to the table when dealing with
his customers as well.
Striving to remain an active force in the community, he served one term
as a commissioner on the Tempe Mayor's Commission for Disability
Concerns, and recently worked as a poll inspector in the Scottsdale
primary elections in 2010. He is a budding singer/songwriter as well, you

advertising my business interests. I wanted to also facilitate the
communication of folks from the midwest who either are already out here,
or are planning/wanting to move to Arizona. I hope one day there will be
many more businesses on my Marketplace page, that are owned by

What exactly is ArizonaHoosier.com?
Well, right now, it's mostly a site to advertise my own business interests. However, I
would like to expand this soon to include several other family/friends' businesses.
Ultimately, my goal is to have activities, and create a group of business
men/women who are from the midwest, and now live in Arizona, with the idea of
helping each other, and those new to the area from those midwestern states.
When I first came out here, I knew no one. It was harder than I thought to make it on
my own out here, because I had no support group. I took for granted the one I had
in Indiana, but soon when my car started breaking down, and I got sick, etc...I
realized it was hard to find honest people..mechanics, doctors, lawyers, etc. out
here. Whereas, back in Indiana, I had a network of family/friends who would do
things for a reasonable and honest price. I love it here, in Arizona, and I don't miss
the winters of Indiana. However, I endeavor always to bring the kind of honesty and
integrity that I grew up with in the midwest, and integrate that into everything I do. I
would like to meet like-minded business professionals, and create a site where
future midwestern men/women can connect with people out here in Arizona that will
give them honest, reliable, and affordable services....and hopefully also forge solid
friendships!
